From a proposal on New Years Day while skiing, to a wedding in Portugal. It’s very clear to see that Rebecca & Mike know both how to travel and plan a pretty epic wedding day!

 

As soon as Mike had proposed both Rebecca and him knew exactly what country they wanted to get married in AND even what venue, since Mike had already spotted Casa Manor Pedras de Cima in Portugal a little while earlier, so by the time they even landed back in England they had planned out a good portion of their wedding. Talk about being organised!

 

However that organisation certainly paid off yesterday when all their closest family & friends descended on the villa for the big day. And to say it was perfect was serious an understatement! 

 

These two had planned a dreamy outdoor ceremony overlooking palm trees, a lemon orchard, and beautiful climbing flowers up the villa, picture perfect doesn’t even describe it correctly! It was soon time for their reception to begin with drinks flowing and canapes in plate loads being passed around, nothing could wipe a smile off their faces… until a power cut! An hour before they were due to sit down for their wedding breakfast both the power and water got switched off, with even the neighbouring villas being cut out too! What could have ruined the fun for some couples didn’t even touch the sides for Rebecca & Mike, finding the funny side of the situation and just going with the flow (while trying to phone the villa owner at the same time!) However, no need to worry… just before speeches were due to begin the lights and most importantly aircon(!!) switched back on and it was service like usual! 

 

To say that these two know how to party is an understatement, I don’t think Rebecca even left the dancefloor as soon as the live music began and once the final song was sung of the final set from their amazing singer… well, all chaos began! 

 

The best kind of chaos!

 

More than half of the wedding PILED into the pool with epic dives and serious dive bombs going on. Clothes flung everywhere and everyone singing and having the most amazing time, it truly was the most perfect way to celebrate the last few hours of their big day!

 

I feel so honoured that Rebecca & Mike entrusted me to shoot what can only be one of the most amazing weddings of my 8 years, and instead of explaining their beautiful day any more, I’ll let the photographs show you the rest of their story!
