Rachael & Dan's big day, on the 21st August 2021 was SO emotional and I will always remember how perfect it was.
I was certainly both near to tears one minute and then laughing my head off the next COUNTLESS times, and I'm honestly so thrilled that Rachael and Dan's day was even more perfect than they could have imagined.
Their special day had been a long time coming and I feel like I took each step with these two, from capturing their pre-wedding shoot by Ullswater followed by a massive gossip over coffee at Sharrow Bay, to walking through their Covid postponement journey with them, to their final wedding meeting where we no joke chatted for TWO HOURS!
It was an absolute pleasure getting to know Rachael and Dan over time, and I know I’ve shared lots of their story already via their pre-wedding shoot preview, but one thing stuck in my mind from the best mans speech that I think sums up their relationship… After meeting Rachael, Dan told the best man that ‘all the noise stopped when they were together. Yet another moment throughout the whole day where I was holding back the tears!
However their ceremony will certainly be the section of their wedding day that I’ll always remember, from the amazing video that was projected before the ceremony of lots of their guests singing different parts of the Bruno Mars' Marry You song, to Dan welling up trying to hold himself together as Rachael walked down the aisle with her dad, to Dan’s epic choice in the middle of hymn ‘if I were a butterfly’ with actions that went alongside! But I have to say my stand-out moment was when bridesmaid Kim got up to sing with Rachael’s dad playing the piano alongside her – goosebump moment!!! I dare anyone to keep a dry eye with her singing! Rachael certainly picks the best bridesmaids – Kim actually led the choir that supported Stormzy at the V-Fest performance. Friends with epic talents are the ones you NEED to know for your wedding day!
As they left the church the rain stopped on cue and we were even able to get the confetti shot they both had hoped for.
All in all, it was one wedding I certainly will never forget, and one I’m so proud to be part of.
Here’s to the beautiful, kind and FUN couple, Rachael & Dan. I wish them all the happiness and love in the world!

Some kind words from Rachael & Dan
We honestly couldn't have asked for a better wedding photographer. Camilla was amazing from the very first point of contact to us finalising our album. It was really important to us to choose a photographer who we got on with as they are such a big part of our wedding. We wanted someone who wasn't too intrusive on the day but who was organised and would ultimately produce photos we love - Camilla did all of this and so much more!
We felt so supported with her whilst postponing our wedding and we felt really lucky that she was actually available on our second date. So many of our guests commented on how lovely she was and we love showing off our photos. We would highly recommend Camilla to anyone - she is the perfect photographer and even felt like a guest by the end of the day!
Thank you so much Camilla, you have given us such special photos which we can look back on forever.
Rach and Dan x
