I have to start today's wedding blog by saying a huge thank you! Thank you so much to the wonderful Milly Davies Flowers for recommending me to her friends Olivia & Simon. This wedding was totally right up my street, and was filled with fun and firsts - me wading through a rushing river to get to the middle for the PERFECT shot of these two as they're making their way across the stepping stones... definitely a first! My whole plan if I slipped over and fell in was to save my cameras before myself! ⠀ But first let's back up a little!⠀ ⠀ Olivia & Simon got married on the 27th April 2019 at the oh-so wonderful Inn At Whitewell. We started the morning in one of the beautiful quaint holiday cottages by the river and the bubbles were definitely soon gone with a cottage full of girls celebrating! It was so super sweet to see hair & makeup manage to move the girls to tears pretty early, (boding well for some more emotional photographs throughout the day!), with one bridesmaids being so moved with how great her makeup looked she needed a touch up instantly due to a tear or two, and hair reducing Olivia to trying to hold the tears back due to how much she adored her hair! Totally the best reactions to hair and makeup EVER!!!
The ceremony flew by in a blink of an eye and it was time for the adventures to begin! Olivia & Simon are without a doubt up there with the crazy adventurous couples of mine! Torrential rain, a big beautiful wedding dress and some small stepping stones across the river didn't faze these two, (or any of the bridesmaids and groomsmen)! I can't believe how long Olivia & Simon stayed outside for their photographs in the wind and rain - some serious dedication to the photography cause!⠀ ⠀ Mix that with a perfectly styled wedding venue filled with florals, a string quartet, and some super sweet and funny speeches! I think that makes the most perfect wedding ever, don't you?!
These two planned a day that I fell in love with, hoping for sunshine but actually getting the opposite did not stop their party attitude, nor did it stop any of their wedding guests. As the gusts and thunder crept ever stronger and louder so did the music and laughter! I left the party just shy of 9pm while the dance floor was filled to the brim with some amazing dance moves from their wedding guests, and didn't look like it was calm down any time soon!
It was great fun capturing all the action for Olivia & Simon, their whole day was just an honour to be part of! I'm so pleased I'm getting to share lots more from their big day, because when I was trying to narrow down their photographs to just 40ish for their wedding preview it was a NIGHTMARE, because I loved them ALL!
So first, before you all start scrolling, let me introduce, Mr & Mrs Cooley-Dawes.
