On 13th August 2022, I spent the most amazing day with Lauren & Matt for their wedding at Three Hills Barn.
Getting married in 30-degree heat was certainly not what they planned for - especially in a three-piece suit for Matt and a bridal dress with long sleeves for Lauren - but either way they still had the most spectacular day they could have ever dreamt of!
Everything about their day was so beautifully personal, from setting up the barn themselves in the days leading up to their wedding, to the ceremony where Lauren’s dad was the Vicar marrying them!! I love that I still get to see ‘firsts’ on wedding days and this certainly was a first for me! When they started planning the wedding Lauren had asked her dad if he would marry them and he was so pleased to have been asked. When the day arrived he was in the wedding car with Lauren and even walked her down the aisle, but during the first hymn he nipped off in the back to get changed and when he came out he was ready to marry his daughter and future son-in-law.
The ceremony itself was so lovely and special for the entire wedding party and even at the end of the ceremony he gave Matt a little warning that ‘he’s watching’ before announcing their first kiss!
Once we got to Three Hills Barn everyone was trying to find the shade, but the heat certainly didn’t stop the party starting with shots flowing throughout the evening and a great bouquet toss with one of Lauren’s bridesmaids catching it (after a little tussle between two of them!)
We ended the evening by running off to a nearby field for some sunset shots, and with this sunset it would have been rude not to!!!
I’d love to wish Lauren & Matt the most amazing marriage together, however since they’ve known each other since the age of 16 and started going out in school, I think they’re already pretty perfect together!
I’ll let the photographs tell the rest of their story, but first, here’s to the new Mr & Mrs Fletcher!
