I've honestly never been so excited to share more photographs from a wedding than I have with Heather & Adam's big day on the 3rd June 2022!
There's so much about their wedding that was utterly perfect, but after speaking to Heather on the run up to the big day I already knew it was going to be a special one - I even got a sneak preview of her dress a few months before (and the amazing change that was made in the evening to make it look COMPLETELY different!) Honestly, it’s potentially one of my favourite dresses I’ve seen to date!!!
Their whole day was both a whirlwind and absolute pleasure to be part of, starting the morning extremely chilled in a family friends house. A pretty good friend opening the house to Heather and seven bridesmaids!!! The morning flew by in a flash and before we knew it we were having some super sweet first looks with her dad and bridesmaids. Getting ready early is honestly the BEST tip I can give anyone, and I think Heather’s photographs showcase why, there’s so many beautiful natural shots with her and the girls and we were able to get some beautiful photographs of just Heather too (she is honestly as beautiful inside as she is on the outside!!).
Having a bridesmaid and her bridesmaid’s mum who are both amazing florists, create her flowers was a stroke of luck, and meant the whole day was full of fabulous florals and blooms everywhere! From the most amazing flower arch at the church (which was then moved to the marquee) beautiful bouquets, and big flower balls hanging from the ceiling of the marquee, I was certainly in my element!!
Heather and Adam really know how to throw an amazing wedding, but I have to say their relationship together is something of dreams too. I loved getting to capture their little looks, the fun and all the natural moments in-between. Heather and Adam are two of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, it’s not surprising they ended up together! Meeting in school they started going out 10 years ago just before Adam went off to university - with their first date being a run - they certainly placed nods throughout the day to their 10 years together, from the table names being places they’ve been with a photograph of themselves, to booking a band for their evening reception that was actually the band they saw on one of the first dates all those years ago!!
On the weeks leading up to the big day Heather really wanted photographs of a sunset on the big day, however even though we had the most glorious sunshine all day, by evening it started to cloud over and looked like her big wish just wasn’t going to be possible. As I said my goodbyes and walked out of the marquee I kept looking at the sky questioning if that sun was about to pop through the clouds, and after talking to the videographer we decided to grab our cameras once again and go back in to pull Heather and Adam out of the marquee and run to the wheat field.
Heather, shivering in her strapless Suzanne Neville gown, and Adam were the best couple in the world, game for anything anytime (even after I supposedly left the wedding!) However I think you’ll agree (if you go all the way to the end of the photographs) they were 100% worth the effort.
Here’s to Heather and Adam, willing to leave a packed dance floor to grab some more photographs. I’ll leave you all now to look through them, but before I end I’d love to wish Heather and Adam the most amazing life together!!
To the lovely Mr & Mrs Barker!
