Their Wedding Story

Saturday the 5th August… Picture this: a charming church, St Thomas' in Selside, nestled right in the heart of the stunning Lake District National Park. Could you ask for a more dreamy countryside setting to get married? But wait, it gets even better – Natalie's aunt lives nearby and offered her home for their after-party. Marquee vibes all around!

Do you like what you’re reading? Well you’re in luck because that was Natalie & Harry wedding this past Saturday and honestly, it was BEAUTIFUL!

As I mentioned they got married at a little local church, however there was one element of the ceremony Harry was a little worried about… the vicar was flying back from a holiday abroad late at night the night before! Luckily Harry’s fears of the plane not setting off or being delayed didn’t happen and their Vicar was there ready and waiting!

As Natalie arrived she was a picture of happiness surrounded by all her bridesmaids. In what felt like the blink of an eye, the vows were exchanged, and the newlyweds danced down the aisle to an ABBA classic – setting the tone for a day of smiles and celebration. After welcoming their guests at the entrance of the church, as they left, they were met with a cascade of confetti, adding a splash of colour down the little country road as they headed to a sleek Jaguar, ready to take them to Natalie’s Aunts house where the rest of the celebrations carried on and speeches began!

It was such a pleasure getting to capture Natalie & Harry’s big day, after 4 years together and as Natalie said “if you can get through Covid you can get through anything!” it’s pretty easy to see they’re a great match!

A few years after meeting each other Harry formed a plan. He decided to go down on one knee while they were abroad enjoying the day at a vineyard. As he got down on one knee and asked the question, Natalie scooped up the ring from the box before even saying yes all excitedly – a pretty perfect proposal right? That was until they came to celebrate at the vineyard with a bottle of champagne and they'd completely ran out of bubbly!!! Luckily wine still did a pretty great job in their celebrations that afternoon and certainly didn’t dampen any spirits.

I’ll let their photographs tell the rest of the story, but first, I'd love to wish Natalie & Harry the best life together, I'm sure they've got plenty more adventures to come!
