Yesterday I had the pleasure of capturing Kim & George’s big day at Ulverston Parish Church, and the day was filled with excitement, surprises, as well as good vibes all around. It was easily one of the most laid-back weddings I've had the pleasure of shooting.

The morning kicked off with an awesome playlist put together by the man of honour, Callum. Everyone was chilling and singing along, setting the tone for a fun-filled day ahead. Kim looked absolutely stunning in her Pronovias wedding gown from Fellside Brides, and the first look with her dad and bridesmaids/man outside her house was a touching moment that got the whole neighbourhood peeking through their windows.

After exchanging vows, the newlyweds and their guests headed over to The Grange Hotel for the drinks reception. But this wasn't your typical drinks reception - Kim and her mum had something special planned. A surprise drummer band took centre stage, and it was an enormous hit! Even George was caught off guard, but he loved it, and so did everyone else. The beats had everyone captivated, creating an incredible party atmosphere as well as a mini ‘show’ to watch.

Kim and George have known each other since their university days so when George popped the question it was no real surprise to anyone who had been in their lives, however one of Kim & George’s earliest interactions involved George accidentally dropping Kim in the middle of the road on the way home from a night out – insisting on carrying her! She still has a scar from that mishap, and Callum their Man of Honour certainly had great fun recanting the story in his speech. Despite being friends back then, they didn't get together until years later. Sometimes, timing has a funny way of playing its part, and for them, it was worth the wait.

As the sun began to set, the dance floor came alive with some seriously funny moves making me and the videographer not want to leave because we were having such great fun capturing it all! 

Kim and George are an incredible couple, and their love is so easy to see. They genuinely deserve all the happiness and adventure that their lives have in store for them.
