Yesterday, amidst the breath-taking backdrop of Armathwaite Hall, nestled in the heart of the Lake District, Jade and Tom got married with their nearest and dearest as witness. The atmosphere was filled with an air of tranquillity as the rain held off until the evening, allowing their outdoor reception drinks to be enjoyed to the fullest.

Jade and Tom's story began years ago when they started working together. Little did they know that their lives had already brought them together once before, although Jade remained oblivious to this secret!! Tom realised that they’d actually met before and finally let Jade in on that piece of information! While they were dating Tom had always let Jade know that he did not plan to propose until they had spent five years together. Yet, in a delightful twist, Tom couldn't wait any longer and surprised Jade at the four and a half year mark, presenting her with a ring at the very start of a few nights away. Caught off guard by the unexpected proposal, Tom says she didn’t even say yes for the first five minutes, however Jade says it was only because she was in shock – it hadn’t been five years yet!

Yesterday's wedding was everything they could have hoped for and more, from the exchanging of vows to the first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Kirk, every moment was exactly how they planned.

​

These two don’t just know how to plan a wedding, but also a honeymoon!! Taking 6 months initially (and possibly more!) they’re planning to travel the world to places they’ve always wanted to see. If that’s not the most perfect way to start married life I don’t know what is!

​

I wish both jade & Tom a lifetime of happiness together – they’re certainly starting it in the best of ways! Here’s to the new Mr & Mrs Kirk!
